The Rochester Women's Network created this award to recognize women on the "fast track" who have demonstrated professional and career leadership potential. The honorees are professionals who have worked in their current careers for fewer than 10 years, but have made great strides in that relatively short time.

Since 1998 Alana has served High Tech Rochester, where she is now Program Director. Alana also became the first Executive Director of Digital Rochester in 2001 and guided the rapidly growing networking organization through its startup years.

Also recognized as an "Up and Coming" was Dawn Tobin, President of Tobin & Associates, Inc. Dawn is also a member of the AWC.
