wins 5th President's Ring award from Gannett
Newspaper Information Technology executives win President's
Rings
Ten newspaper information
technology executives across the country have been selected as recipients
of the President's Ring for outstanding performance during 2003. Among the
winners is Mitzi Bainbridge - Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle (Chairman's
Ring).
Mitzi has been nominated for the prestigious Gannett President's Ring award
every year
since its inception. It is a tribute to her consistency.
She was the Gannett IT Executive of the year for 2000 and finished
in the top three for two out of three other wins. This award is given
to the IT Executive who has done the most to shape the progress and
performance technology provides to a newspaper. The Chairman's Ring
indicates that she has received this award for the 5th year.
Judges were Doug
McCorkindale, Gannett chairman, president and CEO;
GaryWatson, president/Newspaper Division; José Berrios, vice
president/human resources and diversity; Roxanne Horning, vice
president/compensation and benefits; and Mark Morneau, vice
president/information technology.
Lisa Altman receives national award
Lisa
Altman of Rochester, NY and Regional Manager of Computer Rentals of America
received the Vice President's Award from the National Computer Rental Association
(NCRA)
at the January 2004 conference in San Francisco. Lisa was honored for her work
in co-chairing the first
summer international conference for the NCRA that was held in Niagara Falls
during August 2003. The conference
brought together business owners and managers in the computer rental industry
from across the US, Canada, and the UK.
Lisa has been an active member of the NCRA since 2000.
