In this presentation, women leaders learn, affirm, and remember the time honored practices of reflection, listening to their voice, defining their path, adjusting their course, and maintaining their career in all venues. Leadership from the Inside Out highlights these concepts:
≈ Clarity on your leadership story and its impact in your profession
≈ Define your values and principles
≈ Reflect on your actions and behaviors to ensure alignment with your values and beliefs
≈ Identify new leadership strategies to live your goals and aspirations
≈ Learn the importance of creating collaborative peer communities and circles to learn from
≈ Commit to the leadership behaviors which support your work
≈ Asset Management, the importance of self care, creativity, rest, play, fun, and joy for women leaders who thrive

Third Session:

Crucial Conversations
- presented by Elizabeth Fredericks, Managing Partner of Vitalwork, Inc.

Thursday, March 12, 2009 (7:30 am to 9:00)

Leaders do not have the luxury of shying away from difficult conversations in the workplace. We are expected to model for those around us the confidence and skills necessary to bring up tough topics, while at the same time maintaining or even building working relationships. As we all know, silence can be deadly - to performance, results, reputations and integrity.

During our time together, we will cover the eight Crucial Conversations principles which can be used to engage in dialogues when opinions differ, emotions are strong, and stakes are high.

Fourth Session:

Development of Personal Action Plan
- presented by Sky Ferguson, Career Management Professional of Compelling Communications

Thursday, March 26, 2009 (5:30 pm to 7:00)

For the final meeting in the Leadership Series, Sky Ferguson of Compelling Communications, will facilitate a goal setting session, which will provide each attendee the opportunity create a personal action plan. Sky will attempt to help bridge that huge gap between knowledge and actual implementation of knowledge. Each attendee the have the opportunity to review the material from the Leadership series in light of their own leadership style and the people and circumstances they are currently managing. Based on their prioritization they will then have the opportunity to develop a very simple, measurable action plan outlining the new behaviors they want to implement. "Oh the fear, trepidation, joy and gratification that comes from risking true change!"

These events will be held at 300 Meridian Center, Suite 100/ EDS Conference Room. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Registration is required.
